Sweden

I think the official language of Sweden is Swedish but that Sámi is “officially recognised” as are Finnish, Meänkieli, Romani, Sámi languages and Yiddish — and Swedish Sign Language. (I think, going back to my BSL interest days, that Sweden was the first country to recognise a sign language as an official language.)

Currently (30/6/20) the CORE-OM has been translated into Swedish (Swedish) and both the CORE-OM and YP-CORE have been translated into Finnish (Finnish & Finnish YP-CORE. but the Sámi translation of the CORE-OM is still work in progress. Unless passionate protagonists of Meänkieli, Romani and Yiddish were to contact me with overwhelming evidence that they can do a translation to our protocol I cannot, being realistic, see those being done! I would very much like to get a translation of the YP-CORE into Swedish done to our protocol and I know there is call for it in Finland and probably in Sweden. Do please contact me if you think you could co-lead that translation or could put me in contact with people who might.
