Swedish

The translation of the CORE-OM into Swedish was one of the earlier translations, started in 2005. Like all the translations it was entirely dependent on the generosity of the people who did it, principally a group in the Psychology Department in the Unversity of Göteborg (Gothenberg to English speakers). That was started by Sven Carlsson and then led by Magnus Elfström and then consisting of Magnus Elfström, Jesper Lundgren, Boo Johansson, Magnus Hakeberg and Sven Carlsson. In addition Ulf Berggren was involved in the early years but sadly died during the development.

We collaborated not just on the translation but an initial psychometric exploration of the translation that was published as Elfström, M. L., Evans, C., Lundgren, J., Johansson, B., Hakeberg, M., & Carlsson, S. G. (2013). Validation of the Swedish version of the Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation Outcome Measure (CORE-OM). Clinical Psychology & Psychotherapy, 20(5), 447–455. https://doi.org/10.1002/cpp.1788. (Do contact me if you would like a copy and can’t easily access it.) More recently Tommy Skjulsvik at Västra Götalandsregionen (www.vgregion.se/sob) has been handling enquiries about using the Swedish CORE-OM and approved short form (CORE-SF/A, CORE-SF/B, CORE-10 and GP-CORE).
